The Filberg Heritage Lodge & Park Association announced a fundraising program that celebrates the past while ensuring the future of the Lodge & Park, not just for this generation but also for those to come.

“The Filberg Legacy Trees initiative is a unique opportunity for families, individuals and businesses to share in the Filberg Park’s ongoing legacy,” said Audrey Craig, president, FHLP Association. “The park is a magical place and this initiative makes it possible for many to make a genuine connection with it.”

Thirty trees have been selected for sponsorship including many exotic and native varieties like the weeping European ash, blue atlas cedar, paper bark maple, the copper European beech and the giant sequoia, to name just a few. These trees are featured as part of the Filberg Legacy Trees Walk that winds throughout the park. Sponsor plaques include a QR Code that provides botanical information about each specimen.

Each Filberg Legacy Trees sponsorship is based on a five-year term and valued at $500 families and not-for-profit organizations and $1,000 for businesses and corporations. Sponsors are recognized with a personalized plaque placed at their sponsored tree and receive a commemorative digital photo with their sponsored tree. (Some conditions apply.)

The Filberg Legacy Trees fundraising initiative launches officially on Earth Day, April 22. For more information on becoming a Filberg Legacy Trees sponsor go to www.Filberg.com
