EDITOR’S NOTE: The original media release sent out by the New Democrat BC Government Caucus included various errors. Seven organizations (not eight) received a total of $215,900 (not $314,000). Comox Valley Ground Search & Rescue Association (reported as receiving $86,500), and Kitty Cat P.A.L. Society ($25,000) did not receive funding. Mt. Washington Ski Patrol Association did and was not listed in the release.

Auxiliary presents Glacier View Lodge with money for equipment

Marilyn Farnham, president of the Auxiliary to Glacier View Lodge presented a donation of $3,500 to Wanda McMillan, executive director, Glacier View Lodge. The Auxiliary to Glacier View Lodge supported the Lodge since 1982. Donations through this year have supported the replacement of equipment, the Music Therapy Program, special events for residents and filled in gaps for individual residents’ needs.
