Two Victoria restaurants – The Courtney Room and Tea at The Empress – have found themselves ranked among the top 50 hotel restaurants in Canada based on OpenTable and KAYAK's research
According to their research, 64 per cent of Canadians believe that hotel restaurants are a dining option open to both tourists and locals alike, while 68 per cent say they would book the same hotel again because of a positive dining experience in its on-site restaurant.
“Travellers aren’t just asking ‘Where should I go?’ – they’re asking ‘What’s on the menu when I get there?’” said Kate Williams, chief communications officer at KAYAK. “Great dining experiences are an essential part of today’s travel itineraries and hotels are rising to the occasion.”
Joining the two Victoria eateries, the only two on Vancouver Island, are seven more B.C. restaurants, most of which are based in the Lower Mainland – including the Michelin-recommended Botanist, Notch8, ARC, and the Victor — Parq Vancouver in Vancouver, ATLAS Steak + Fish in Burnaby, .Lakeside Dining Room — Hotel El Dorado in Kelowna and the Brickworks in Whistler.
