Two Victoria restaurants 鈥� The Courtney Room and Tea at The Empress 鈥� have found themselves ranked among the top 50 hotel restaurants in Canada based on OpenTable and KAYAK's research
According to their research, 64 per cent of Canadians believe that hotel restaurants are a dining option open to both tourists and locals alike, while 68 per cent say they would book the same hotel again because of a positive dining experience in its on-site restaurant.
鈥淭ravellers aren鈥檛 just asking 鈥榃here should I go?鈥� 鈥� they鈥檙e asking 鈥榃hat鈥檚 on the menu when I get there?鈥欌�� said Kate Williams, chief communications officer at KAYAK. 鈥淕reat dining experiences are an essential part of today鈥檚 travel itineraries and hotels are rising to the occasion.鈥�
Joining the two Victoria eateries, the only two on Vancouver Island, are seven more B.C. restaurants, most of which are based in the Lower Mainland 鈥� including the Michelin-recommended Botanist, Notch8, ARC, and the Victor 鈥� Parq Vancouver in Vancouver, ATLAS Steak + Fish in Burnaby, .Lakeside Dining Room 鈥� Hotel El Dorado in Kelowna and the Brickworks in Whistler.
