The Adopt-a-Grandparent program is continuing for another Christmas in the Comox Valley.
Breanna Brosko was just 13 years old when she started the program in 2015. This year, her father Len is tending to the details.

Like last year, a tree has been erected at Jo Klassen’s Restaurant in Courtenay. Before the advent of COVID, the tree would be adorned with tags bearing the name of a senior. The public would select a tag and bring back a wrapped gift. Last year, staff at Jo Klassen’s distributed tags — which will again be the practice this year.
Tags have been available as of Nov. 28. Those who pick up a tag can either make or purchase a gift and return it — wrapped or in a gift bag — to Jo Klassen’s, along with the tag to identify the recipient.
Tags will be available until they run out. The gifts will be dropped off at Cumberland Lodge, the Comox Valley Seniors Village or at Glacier View Lodge on Dec. 20 or 21.
