One of the most anticipated events of the summer is coming up in the Comox Valley.

You Are Not Alone (YANA) invites the entire community to gather on Sunday, August 17, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Comox Marina Park will come alive with excitement at the Party in the Park, the grand finale of the 2025 YANA Ride. This annual event is a massive celebration of the incredible generosity and community spirit that supports families who must travel outside the region for medical treatment for a child under 19 or a pregnant mother.

A key highlight of the afternoon will be the recognition of the ride’s top fundraising teams and riders, who have gone above and beyond in their efforts to support YANA. The awards ceremony will begin at 3:00 p.m., with individuals and teams honoured in front of family, friends, and supporters. These community champions are at the heart of this event that helps ensure that no Comox Valley family faces the financial and emotional burden of out-of-town medical travel alone.

The 50/50 draw will also take place during the ceremony, with the jackpot already on the rise. Tickets are available until 2:00 p.m. on the day of the event, offering participants a chance to win 50% of the growing total.

Then, at 3:30 p.m., the thrills reach new heights with the return of the YANA Golf Ball Drop. In this exciting spectacle, up to 2,000 numbered golf balls will be released from a Comox Fire Department truck ladder. The three balls that land closest to the pin will win their ticket holders up to $3,000 in cash prizes. With tickets priced at just $10, it’s a great way for attendees to get in on the action and support YANA at the same time.

Throughout the day, the Party in the Park will feature live music, family-friendly activities, and a fabulous festival vibe. All activities are by donation, with 100% of proceeds going directly to support Comox Valley families in need of medical travel assistance.

With a fundraising goal of $100,000, every dollar, cheer, and show of support helps ensure no Comox Valley family faces the stress of medical travel alone. So, gather your friends, bring the family, and come celebrate the power of community at YANA’s Party in the Park.
