Comox Valley Lions Club treasurer, Lion Ernie, presenting a $1,000 cheque to Santa’s Work Shop president Larry Clay along with Donna Kennedy and Pat Potratz. The work shop reconditions used toys and accepts donations of new toys to help parents of children between the ages of 0 - 16 to ensure those children have a good Christmas.

Pictured with Club President, Keith Tatton (left) are members of Cumberland Rotary sporting fleece scarves they’ve made and toques purchased for E.D.A.S. The club members have made 200 scarves and provided 15 warm toques that will be distributed to those in need this Christmas. EDAS (Everybody Deserves A Smile) has students putting packages together for people living on the streets in the community, across Vancouver Island and the Lower Mainland.

The Comox Valley ATV Club had a special annual Barbecue Party for all the Comox Valley emergency first responder groups in September. The event doubled as a fundraiser for You Are Not Alone (YANA). On Nov. 28, club members presented YANA with a cheque for $2,166.
