The Evergreen Club is inviting the public and members to come hear about all of the exciting things happening at an open house on Thursday, Oct. 4 from 9 a.m. to noon.

The Evergreen Club is a 55+ recreational group operating out of the Florence Filberg Centre at 441 Anderton Ave. in Courtenay. There are close to 2,000 members, aged 55 years and better. The club is a non-profit organization that offers more than 40 different activity groups, special events, dances, trips and a dining lounge for all the members in the Comox Valley and beyond.

Enjoy complimentary tea or coffee and a snack while taking in entertainment provided by the Evergreen Ukulele Group, Choristers, Recorder Ensemble, Valley Echoes and karaoke groups.

Get active and toss a ball with the carpet bowlers, shoot some pool with the cue sports club, try table tennis, floor curling, carpet bowling, or throw some darts with the dart club.

Enter a draw for one of several door prizes. Complete the scavenger hunt for a chance to win a membership. Stroll downstairs and stay for lunch at the Evergreen Lounge where you will find soup, sandwiches and salads.
