In Women of Earth, Brazillian filmmaker Isadora Mayara travels to remote rural communities where she meets women who show her how the wisdom of the past can heal the future. They are traditional midwives, healers and community leaders. They are keepers of an ancient knowledge that we can’t afford to lose.

The 71-minute documentary is among 18 features at the World Community Film Festival Feb. 5-13.
