The Canadian Forces Snowbirds fly during the Duluth Air Show on July 6, 2025.

The undeniable roar of nine jet engines soaring through the skies will fill the air in Greater Victoria on Tuesday (July 22).

“The Snowbirds will be performing our non-aerobatic display over the Inner Harbour, and we’re excited to bring a little jet noise to the Island skies,” the Canadian Forces air demonstration team said on social media.

While there won’t be any acrobatic feats, the famed Canadian Forces Snowbirds are set to soar across the South Island around 6 p.m.

While not a full airshow, the team will be in tight formation and soar past several times with formation changes. The team hopes to see the worldwide web flooded with posts after the event.

“We can’t wait to see your amazing shots of the team over Victoria. See you soon.”

The last time the national aerobatics team treated the region to a fly-by was when the Hawaii Mars made its final flight landing in the Pat Bay in August 2024.

The 431 Air Demonstration Squadron celebrated a change in leadership July 11 when Lt.-Col. Jean-François Dupont officially handed command to Lt.-Col. Guillaume Paquet in a ceremony held at the team’s home base in Moose Jaw.

“From flight suits to motorcycles, this day was all about tradition, camaraderie, and a deep respect for the incredible legacy of this team and squadron,” 431 Squadron said in a social media post.
