With the 2025 Cops for Cancer Tour de Rock officially set for the fall, Aspen Road Comox Co-op is getting ready to roll out the support.
On July 19, the gas station at 699 Aspen Rd. will be hosting a fundraising car was and hot dog BBQ fundraising car wash and hot dog BBQ from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., with all proceeds going to Cops for Cancer — a cause that supports children and families affected by pediatric cancer.
The event also marks the kickoff of the Co-op’s annual head shave fundraising campaign featuring Co-op staff members Lynn and Thomas, both of whom haven’t had a haircut since last summer. The duo plans to go bald in solidarity with young cancer patients when the Tour de Rock team arrives in the Comox Valley this September.
The Tour de Rock is a two-week, 1,200 km journey across Vancouver Island, running from Port Alice to Victoria, with riders raising funds and awareness every step of the way.
