It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Aniela on February 11, 2025 at Trillium Lodge in Parksville.
Predeceased by her husband Barrie of 56 years, also her son James who passed away in 1998.
Nel enjoyed her 25 years plus career as an LPN at 4 All Seasons Care Home in Ladysmith, Nel was an active member of CWL in Ladysmith, she loved working with the elderly, organizing outings and keeping them entertained, she was also very caring about her co- workers, organizing surprise birthday parties for each and every one equally, she enjoyed her time engaging with both patients and staff.
Nel enjoyed flowers she planted in her yard in Ladysmith where her and Barrie lived for many years. Nel and Barrie had fond memories of their adventures while traveling on cruise ships.
Nel will be dearly missed by her daughter Laura (Scott) in Ontario, sister Sofie in Courtenay, sisters-in-law; Diane in McBride and Sylvia in Terrace. Long time friend Sandra in Nanaimo, many nieces and nephews.
She will be truly missed
but forever in our hearts.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to all of the care workers, for their compassionate care towards Nel. She considered you all her second family.
There will be a Mass for Nel on March 12, 2025 at 1:00PM at St Mary's Catholic Church, 1135 Fourth Ave, Ladysmith BC.
