Anne Jordan (nee Sidoroff)
February 16, 1922 - September 20, 2017
Born in Blagoveshchensk, Russia to Peter and Lucaria Sidoroff, Anne was the eldest female in a family of 10 brothers and sisters. She is predeceased by 4 siblings who died as children in Russia before her birth, her brothers Michael and Sid, and her sisters Mary and Rhena.
In 1950, she and Glenn Jordan met and married. In 1962 they, with their daughters Sandie, Lorraine and Sharel moved to the Courtenay Train Station and all the family enjoyed the recreation that this community has to offer.
Anne lived in harmony with the teachings of her beloved faith. Among the things she loved and valued were family, good principles, alternative health approaches, song, soup, and providing a guiding light to 'the little ones'. She was often the first one that a new mom would leave their precious new ones with. She had a very good sense of humor and a giggle was easy to bring with her.
Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother were roles she welcomed. She dearly loved her sisters and brothers and they dearly loved her.
As she slipped into the 'Arms of All That Is' with Sandie and Lorraine at her side there was a sense of loved ones who had gone before welcoming her Home. Of those, were her grandson Aaron who passed away last October, her husband Glenn who passed in 2008, her parents, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
She will be greatly missed by her sisters; Jessie, Polly (Don), Nadia (John), her brothers; Vic (Dorothy) and Tom (Jean), her daughters Sandie, Lorraine, and Sharel (Andrew), step son Dale (Eleanor), and her grandchildren; Livea, Alea, Keri, Chelsea, Perry, Sonja, Natasha. Also great grandchildren; Kyja, Alana, Brooklynne, Isaac, Kiana, Ella, Nikolai, Sailor, Taylor, Violet, Annabelle and Jordan and many nieces and nephews.
Gratitude and appreciation for all those who cared for Mom at Glacier View Lodge, Dr. I. Winter, Dr. S. Sandwith and members of her church.
A Memorial Service Celebrating Anne's life will be held Friday, September 29, at 1:00pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1901-20th Street, Courtenay.
