Dan "Boomer" passed away on March 21, 2020 at home in Sayward. Dan was born in Comox on October 14, 1960 and grew up in Union Bay. He was a gentle soul who loved the outdoors. He was happiest fishing, hunting, helping neighbours or just reading a book. His entire adult life was spent as a logger on the west coast mainly in Port Eliza.
Dan was predeceased by his Dad, Joe McKay (Mar. 2015).
He is survived by his son, Logan, his mom Donna, his sisters, Beth (Bob Skeet), Susan (Craig LaFountain), his 4 nephews, Michael and Richard, Nicholas and Trevor, as well as too many aunts, uncles and cousins to mention.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
