April 29, 1941 - January 31, 2017
Born on the family farm in Saskatchewan on April 29, 1941, Fern was a member of a large family of 13 children. She passed away peacefully January 31, 2017 with her loving children by her side.
Fern was predeceased by her husband Elmer.
She is survived by her many brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and children Alan Senior (Leila), grandson JP Senior (Kristin), great-granddaughter Serena, grandson Chris, daughter Karen Senior, granddaughter Megan, son Randy Senior (Kim), grandchildren Nicklaus and Michelle.
Fern was a woman with many diverse talents and interests such as gardening, cooking and reading. She received an award for volunteering with Literacy BC. Her home was often packed with visiting family and friends. Unfortunately, Fern suffered a stroke a number of years ago and spent her final years as a resident of Cumberland Lodge.
Fern鈥檚 family thanks Cumberland Lodge staff for taking such compassionate and kind care of her.
A private family celebration of Fern鈥檚 life will be determined at a later date.
