Trudy passed away on Feb 1, 2017 at St. Joseph鈥檚 Hospital in Comox and was born in England on Feb 27, 1923.
Mom was a lifetime golfer in Powell River, Campbell River and Comox. She loved all sports and played badminton, tennis and curling. Mom was known for her beautiful white head of curls, her sharp wit and endless jokes. She touched many hearts, evident in the amazing number of friends, especially those who attended her bedside daily during her last months in the hospital.
Predeceased by her husband, Harold Newman and brother, Bill Heyes.
Survived by her 4 children, Tom (Margaret), Laura (Greg), Anne, Bill (Joan); 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
A Celebration of her Life will be held on Saturday February 11, 2017 at 2pm at Piercy鈥檚 Funeral Home.
