In loving memory of Harold (Sonny) Knapp, November 28, 1929 - April 29, 2024.
Sonny grew up in East Angus, Quebec. Predeceased by his wife Muriel Alice (Stickles) Knapp. Son of Robert (Bob) Knapp and Mildred Cook and eldest brother to 5 surviving sisters. Father to 8 Shelley, Melody, Tammy, Penny, Ross, Troy, Tracey and Holly. Grand parent to 12 grandchildren; Mandy, Jacey, Denise, Marielle, Dylan, Klay, Reanna, Victoria, Robert, Reed, Kane and Hope. 6 great grandchildren; Anthony, Sidney, Ash, Emma, Greydon and Sterling.
Sonny served in the Korean War, and in 2014 was awarded an Ambassador of Peace Medal by the Korean Government.
In earlier years he was a strong participant in the Anglican Church and a proud Mason.
During his retirement years, he volunteered at the Parksville SOS and for the Qualicum Beach Auxiliary.
Over the years he dabbled in stained glass and oil painting classes. He had a natural talent working with wood. He also enjoyed fishing for salmon and was an avid walker. He joined a Seniors' Ukulele band and was a fan of classic Country and Western music.
Sonny's keen mind served him well until the end. He learned to conquer the computer world at the age of 80.

A Celebration of Life to take place near Newmarket, Ontario where most of his children reside.
