Irene, a resident of Union Bay passed away peacefully on October 24, 2019. She was predeceased by her husband Albert, great grandson Lucas and daughter-in-law Liza, and is survived by her children Loretta, Ben (Dawn), Terri (Brian), Gary (AnneMarie), Tony (Pat), Rose (Ric), Kirk (Brenda), Darlene (Terry), Tom, Westley (Deana); 25 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren.
Irene was a devoted Jehovah's Witness. Her career path took her to many different jobs throughout her life but her most enjoyable one was raising ten kids. She loved her flower garden, hunting, and even had her own guns. Irene would rather be outside than in. Irene was a mama bear when it came to her children.

Funeral service to be held on Sat. Nov. 2nd, 2 pm at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1581 Dingwall Road, Courtenay, BC.
