Janette Marie Sulek (nee Casavant), passed away October 11, 2020 shortly after being diagnosed with leukaemia.
Janette always made her family the most important focus of her days. She was a loving wife of 48 years to her husband Jim who survives her, an amazing mom to her two children Sam (Becky) and daughter Lisa Low(Matt), and an incredibly fun, doting and hands on grandma to her prized grandkids Sam and Sienna Low and Tuesday and Juno Sulek. Gramma always
knew how to make the most fun out of the simplest things. She always offered to help with her grandkids and was a vital part of their everyday lives which her children appreciated so much.
She was a military wife, which meant having to recreate a loving home and help her kids adjust to their new schools and communities many times over. She made it seem effortless; a testament to her resiliency and love. Her strong sense of family came from her modest upbringing with 8 brothers and sisters in Edmonton. A house full of family was a house rich with laughter and love. She was a beloved sister and favourite auntie.
She is survived by her sisters Linda Southworth and Gloria Scramstad, and brothers Richard and Billie Casavant.
She is missed so very much.
When we lose someone we love we must learn not to live without them, but to live with the love they left behind.
The family asks that blood donations be made in honour of their loss.
