Karen died peacefully at the Comox Valley Hospital with her children at her side.
Predeceased by her husband Ken of 56 years. Karen is survived by her daughter Pam (Jim), grandchildren Scott (Shelby), Becky (Steve) and great grandson Easton, son Craig, granddaughters Marissa (Kyle) and Cailyn (Breydon), sister Lori (Dave) Ryan and Desi. She will be truly missed but forever in our hearts.
Karen had a zest for life always thinking of others first and making all those around her laugh with her quirkiness. She loved the Comox Valley and all the friends she connected with throughout the years especially her gals she met for her daily coffee at McDonald's.
At Karen's request there will be no service however she strongly believed and encouraged the practice of paying it forward! In Lieu of flowers please feel free to donate to the BC Cancer Foundation in Karen's name.
Thank you to the wonderful nurses and doctors on the 3rd floor of the Comox Valley Hospital for their wonderful attention and kindness that they provided the family throughout this sad time.
