Ken (Odie) Roberts, 69 of Courtenay, BC passed away on October 11, 2020 in Naniamo General Hospital surrounded by his family.
Ken was born in Nanaimo, BC on December 10, 1950 and spent his entire life on Vancouver Island.
For many years Ken worked in the logging industry in Sayward, BC where he was part owner of Dyer Logging. After retiring from the logging industry he became involved in his wife's flagging company, Dynamic Traffic Services.
Within Dynamic, Ken was well known for his practical jokes but also for taking care of his "girls" by providing treats and breaks on a regular basis.
Ken loved the outdoors and many of his children's fondest memories are of playing the guitar around the camp fire, fishing, boating and watering skiing.
Ken and Dalee's "happy place" was their acreage where Ken spent hours working on the yard, splitting wood, raising chickens, taking long bike rides and walks with Dalee and their beloved dog Jazz.
Ken is survived by his wife Dalee Roberts; children Candice; Lucas (Meaghan); Corrina and grandchildren Jazmyn, Stella, Jack, Julia, Logan and Alana; sister Susan Martin; niece Deanna; nephew Jamie; as well as his beloved cat Leo "Lightning" Roberts.
