In loving memory ~
The family of Lillian Anne Davis is saddened to announce her passing at the Victoria General Hospital following a short illness and after receiving excellent care at the Selkirk Seniors Village for two years.
Born in Fleming, Saskatchewan, Lillian moved with the family to Victoria, B.C., in 1950. Lillian joined the Royal Canadian Air Force at age 19 where she worked until retirement in 1981. After serving overseas in Egypt and various other AFBs and achieving the rank of Sergeant, Lillian ended up in Comox, B.C., where she spent all of her retirement years.
An avid sportsperson, Lillian enjoyed golf and bowling and received several awards for her efforts. She was also a "cat lady" and always made a home for at least one or two furry friends.
Lillian was pre-deceased by her mother Gladys Davis-Godfrey, father Frederick Davis and brother Kenneth (Monique). She is survived by her sister Dianne (Clifford) and brother Gordon (Carol) along with niece Amy, nephews Graham, Clayton, Christopher, Kevin and Michael plus numerous grandnieces and grandnephews.
Arrangements are being handled by Sands Funeral Chapel in Victoria and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
Memorial donations may be made to the BC SPCA, Comox Valley and District Branch, 1668 Ryan Road East, Comox, B.C. V9M 7Z8
Rest in peace Lillian and know that
"Katniss" is well looked after.
