It is with great sadness we announce that Susan Gilbert (Ross) lost her hard-fought eleven month battle with pancreatic cancer on Friday, January 20th, 2017. She chose her own weapons, and left as she wanted, at home, surrounded by love. She was an amazing, unique person and will be sadly missed by many, her Comox and Read Island friends, both two-legged and four-legged, and remembered by cousins and friends in Montreal, where she grew up, with love.
She is survived and mourned by her beloved daughter, Tanni (Tanjira), her husband Tom, who has been her support throughout this difficult time, her loving parents, Donald and Janet Ross, and Uncle Peter and Marji-Lisa. Life will not be the same without her. She will always be a presence.
Many thanks to, and much appreciation for Nancy and Dr. Howard, who made her time comfortable, Helle, Linda, Don and Mike, who were always there for her.
May she rest in peace.
No service by request but a Celebration of Life will be held in the Spring.
