Dear editor,The committee for homelessness, which has already received another few hundred thousand dollars from VIHA and the taxpayers is going to hire yet another consultant to help us reach consensus on the location of the next homeless shelter!We have already had petitions, angry letters appeals from businesses and a heated election over the location of the homeless shelter on Cliffe Avenue.Surely that tells our councillors what the consensus is.Eleven properties have been suggested for the shelter. If you really must have another shelter instead of supporting low-cost permanent housing to actually end homelessness, well just choose one.Please do not spend our taxpayers鈥� money on a consultant who is really just there to take some pressure off you.With taxes going up again this year, and many businesses a paycheque away from failure, you must be more fiscally responsible.D.
