Dear editor,Regarding the media attention my name has been getting recently, I hope that you will kindly allow me an opportunity to express my remorse about the charges that have been levied against me.I am very ashamed about the news attached to my name in relation to an event that unfolded three weeks ago in my personal life secondary to the sudden and unexpected uprooting of my emotional life.My family and I have greatly suffered in relation to this event, and we hope that the media will respect our privacy. I can assure you that it was out of character, an emotional outbreak that should have never happened.It is entirely unrelated to my professional life and has been dealt with in an appropriate therapeutic and legal manner. I am deeply sorry about the emotional scarring and concerns it has caused to all those who have gotten to know me over the past 20 years in the Comox Valley, especially my patients, friends and colleagues.
