There is one more week of  ball left in the Comox Valley Mixed Slopitch League.  Five scores haven’t been reported yet for games already completed.

Last week in Tier 1, Banner Landscaping Brewers trounced Billy D’s Benchwarmers 16-0 to take a stranglehold on first place.  Sunlife Slammers stopped the Whistlestop Madness 11-8.  Four other Tier 1 games were played  but no scores were reported.

In Tier 2, Courtenay Kia split a pair of games, winning 15-3 against Applesauced but falling 12-9 to Zoom Zooms. Despite the loss Kia will capture first place.

Peanut Gallery knocked off the Wrecks 18-8 and fell 8-5 to the Romance Shop Master Batters. Berard's Plumbing edged the Wankees 14-13 and doubled the Master Batters 12-6.  Zoom Zooms got by Applesauced 9-7 while the Wrecks trounced Applesauced 24-7.

Meanwhile, all games have been completed in Tier 3 and Mission Possible Shockers have won that division.  League organizers are still waiting for a score from the Komox Grind vs. Chances game two weeks ago.

In Tier 4, the Dirty Birds remain the only unbeaten team in the league as they crushed the Pacers 30-7.  Billy D’s Dodgers nipped the Fishermans Lodge C.R. Pawn Boomers 12-11. The Dodgers also beat Merit Home Furniture Cruisers 15-9.

Blue Thunder won a pair of games 12-5 over the Cruisers and outscored the Coco Loco’s 17-15.  The Islanders nipped the Coco Loco’s 18-17 but were shut out 15-0 by the Cruisers.

Tier 5 is up for grabs as the A + Fire Ballers were 9-6 winners over the Major Malfunctions. The Fire Ballers remain one game up on the Calm Batters but they play each other this week.  EZ Ryders got by the T-Birds 11-10.
