Organizers are looking for a few more volunteers for this year's Dodge City X off-road triathlon.
The event will be held in Cumberland on Sept. 6. The volunteer roles most in need are trail marshals for the bike and run courses, pre-sweeps to run or ride part of the course on race morning and de-flaggers to remove trail markings after the race.
鈥淲e truly appreciate the support we get from the volunteer community,鈥� says race director Ryan Parton. 鈥淲hen you volunteer, we鈥檒l give you a free lunch and beverage from Vincenzo鈥檚 food truck, some race swag, a chance at some great draw prizes and even a grown-up beverage if you feel so inclined. It鈥檚 a super fun event and you鈥檒l leave with more warm fuzzies than a sauna full of puppies.鈥�
This year鈥檚 Dodge City X Standard race will serve as the BC Cross Triathlon Championship and a qualifier for the 2026 World Cross Triathlon Championship in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
