Over the last year bottle, can and juice container returns at the ReturnIt/Comox Recycling Center on Anderton Road, generously donated by many Courtenay and Comox residents, amounted to a donation of $950 to Care A Van. In addition, $450 was raised by the local band “EZZE” at a house concert in November. These two initiatives total a donation to Care A Van and the Comox Bay Care Society of $1400, which was presented by Craig Bassett (second from left) to Sabina Acheson (right), co-ordinator of Care A Van. Also in the photo are Bill Village (left), Bronwen Le Guerrier (left in window), Gloria Pichette (right in window) and Peter Bazovsky (second from right) of Care A Van.
