In a powerful show of community support, Gee Gibson & Associates Private Wealth Management, from IG Wealth Management, has donated $5,000 to the  Comox Valley Recovery Centre (CVRC), a cornerstone of addiction recovery care in the region for nearly five decades.

The donation was presented at CVRC’s facility in Courtenay, where board members and staff joined  the wealth management team to mark the occasion.

“Gee Gibson & Associates support allows us to continue serving individuals committed to rebuilding their lives,” said Brian Chow. “This kind of community leadership strengthens our  programs and helps prepare us for our 50th anniversary next year.”

CVRC, founded in 1976, provides long-term, abstinence-based treatment and recovery housing to men struggling with substance use across Vancouver Island and beyond. The Centre offers residential programming, counselling, life skills development, and transitional support that addresses the root causes of addiction. Thousands have benefited from the services over the years, many going on to rebuild stable, productive lives.

“We are proud to support the Comox Valley Recovery Centre and the vital work it does in our community,” said Duane Gee, CFP, RRC, MFA-P Executive Financial Consultant. “Investing in local recovery services is investing in stronger families and a more resilient Comox Valley.”

Gee Gibson & Associates provides personalized financial planning to individuals, families, and business owners across the region. Their team emphasizes long-term relationships grounded in trust, integrity, and community connection.
