Erin Sandland celebration of life to double as fundraiser for family

43-year-old Comox Valley resident succumbed to cancer after a 13-year battle

On Sept. 14, the Waverly Hotel in Cumberland will be hosting an epic event, a celebration of life for Erin Sandland, who died on June 28, after 13 years of living with cancer.

Join friends and family as the send her off, “Erin style.”

Black Wizard, a metal band from Vancouver, will be taking the stage and there will be a silent auction and a 50/50 draw.

Special Skidlods t-shirts and hoodies are being designed in Erin’s memory and this is the place to get yours.

Limited seating from 6-9 p.m. for dinner, which will be followed by a short eulogy before the band gets things jumping.

Entry is $10 and all proceeds go to Erin’s family to help pay down medical debt incurred trying to save her life.
