Filberg Heritage Lodge and Park Association, in partnership with the Town of Comox, are hosting Living the Garden Life at Filberg Park on Saturday, June 17, from 10 a.m.–2 p.m. This is a free, family-friendly event.

There will be more than 10 booths showcasing and educating visitors on gardening tips, tricks, and solutions to problems they may be having with their gardens. In addition, there will be an opportunity to purchase products from the vendors that will be on-site.

Hands-on demonstrations will take place throughout the day, and guest speakers will offer educational presentations on the Rotary Stage. There will also be a presentation from Tim Ennis, regional co-ordinator of the North Island chapter of the BC Community Bat Program, geared towards children and youth to engage our future gardeners.

While at Filberg Park, guests can visit the Gift Shop from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. and find some unique treasures to brighten their homes. The Summer Kitchen will be open (reservations suggested; call 250-339-2750). Please take the opportunity to stop by the Hands On Farm to visit our furry friends.

Stay tuned for the Filberg’s collaboration for Pollinator Week, which is from June 19 – 25, for more free, family- friendly events.
