Saturday, Sept. 4 marked the final day of the season for the outdoor pool at Lewis Park in Courtenay, and as tradition has it, that day was set aside for the dogs.
Pooch-A-Poolooza 2021 ran from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. and with a steady drizzle, owners got nearly as wet as their four-legged family members. And they had nearly as much fun.
Dogs of all sizes were on hand, splashing, running, swimming, and generally doing what dogs do.
Admission was by donation to the SPCA, and Woofy鈥檚 was on hand, giving out treats, bandanas, and, of course, balls.
