Pam and Vivian Wylie took The Record with them to the Sheik Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates.
When it comes to spreading the news, readers of the Comox Valley Record are number one. They enjoy packing a copy of their favourite hometown newspaper with them as they travel the globe to celebrate special occasions, visit friends and family, enjoy a relaxing vacation or see some of the world’s many historical and geographical landmarks. Take us along on your next trip and send your photo to editor@comoxvalleyrecord.com or drop it off at our office.
This picture was taken on Jan. 1, 2018 of Logan Peters on his eigth birthday up at Mount Washington. He is holding the newspaper article from January, 2010 announcing that he was the first baby born in the Comox Valley.Klara Montalbetti, Heather and Diane Todd, and Dona Sweeney took The Record with them on their nature hike in the Santa Flena Cloud Forest Reserve while on their recent trip to Costa Rica. Two highlights were luring a tarantula out of its hole, and an unusual “ant mill” - ants circling around and around in a perfect circle. We took The Record to the top of Mt Kilimanjaro (5,897 m or 19,340 ft) in Tanzania (but forgot to take the photo until we were on the way down).
