Mountainaire Avian Rescue Society opened visitor centre to support animal work

Cadets from across the country come to train at HMCS Quadra for the summer. Almost every Friday during the summer there are courses graduating. On July 19, the general training cadets had their graduation day. This course is aimed to develop in the cadet an introductory knowledge of all the future courses available to them. After completion of general training, a cadet should have an understanding of life at a Cadet Training Centre.

On July 13, four sea cadets and one officer from HMCS Quadra heard a call for help and they stepped up to plate to assist in the sudden need to move the HMCS Alberni Museum after a flood earlier in the week.
