Comox Valley Concert Band will be playing June 22, July 1, 2025.

The Comox Valley Concert Band closes out the season at two outdoor venues.

On Sunday, June 22 at 2:00 p.m., the 50 piece wind ensemble performs at Marina Park in Comox and on July 1st, Canada Day, the band presents a pre-parade patriotic potpourri in the Sid Williams Square on the corner of Cliffe and 5th St.

At Marina Park, the sounds of summer will include the band’s favourite marches, musicals and pop tunes, along with the gulls, power boats and children’s playground laughter.

Bring a chair, sun protection and lounge on the green while listening to the sweet sounds of the longest existing band in the Comox Valley, (weather permitting).

Donations are welcomed.

These two performances mark the end of conductor Denise Marquette’s decade of direction. Her influence and encouragement has touched each member of this multigenerational, well seasoned ensemble. The band wishes her well as she continues her vocal commitments in the valley.

New director, Peter Wenzek, is already preparing for the fall session with a program of Canadiana.

Please join us in Comox on June 22 and July 1 in Courtenay.
