Wild Haven Performing Arts camp is happy to announce a concert featuring members of Broken Social Scene.

Kevin Drew, founding member of Broken Social Scene, will be joining the camp, along with fellow Broken Social Scene member, David French.

Drew will be joining the camp throughout the week to jam, connect and inspire the young artists.

As part of a gift to the community, Drew and French will be performing a 30-minute set following the camp kids final performance on Aug. 29. The concert starts at 6:30 p.m., doors open at 6:00 p.m. and takes place at the Denman Community Hall.

The concert is for the kids but welcomes adults of all ages to partake in this special, intimate concert.

Non-camper families can join the performance  for $15 at the door, with all proceeds going toward next year’s Wild Haven Performing Arts Camp.

Wild Haven Performing Arts Camp is a week of dancing, music-making and creative exploration at Camp Elkhaven on Denman Island. The camp was brought together by Quinn Lundberg, Bethany Ireland, and Shel Brodsgaard, alongside a small constellation of guest artists and mentors from the island who will help light the creative fires throughout the week.
