Hot Snack Comedy brings their Teen Dream show to the Cumberland Masonic Hall for their debut Vancouver Island show.

Hot Snack Comedy is a four-person improv group from Vancouver who are bringing their Teen Dream show to the Cumberland Masonic Hall for their debut Vancouver Island show.

“You can see us laughing at each other, it’s pretty hard to go a whole show without breaking. These are incredibly funny women. We’re always laughing,” said Tiffany Anderson, a member of Hot Snack.

The audience can expect to enjoy Tiffany Anderson, Della Haddock, Helen Camisa and Kirsten Wiltshire lighting up the stage with their take on memories of being a teen and all that goes with that age.

“We’re all millennial folks and we’ve got a lot of nostalgia. We’re going to take some suggestions from the audience on some things that were part of people’s teen lives because we all have our own experiences of being teens and the kinds of characters that showed up.”

Hot Snack Comedy prides itself on being inclusive and incorporating everyone into its improv.

“We always aim to make our humour inclusive, we are never going to punch down, we’re going to support all kinds of folks and we’re going to be gender inclusive. There may be some dirty jokes here and there,” explains Anderson.

The group has been together for five years, starting during COVID-19 and doing performances through Zoom. They met from being part of Blind Tiger Comedy, a comedy school in Vancouver where they do sketch and improv.

“We kept running into each other in the classes and at the end, you can do a Block Team. So we did that and we became a house team for Blind Tiger and then we ran the course from there,” shares Anderson.

Hot Snack Comedy are good friends outside of the stage and bring their tight relationship with them to each performance.

“We’re good friends in real life and we bring the laughter with us to the stage.”

The show is Aug. 16 at the Cumberland Masonic Hall and is rated 16 and older. Doors are at 7 p.m. with the show starting at 7:30 p.m.. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased through Eventbrite: .
