Dave Blingzinger and Way Out West are bringing an unforgettable night of straight ahead jazz with a funky side to present a dynamic, genre-blending sound on Aug. 21.

The band is led by tenor saxophonist, Dave Blinzinger, as part of a solid line up that brings together regional players. Don McKay plays bass, Eli Swift plays guitar, Michael Eddy plays piano, Caelan MacKenzie on trombone with Ram Sudama rounding out the band with drums. 

The night promises to deliver tight grooves, bold improvisation and deep swing from a boundary pushing band that stays rooted in traditional jazz. Both jazz purists and funk lovers will be entertained. 

Come early to grab seats and enjoy the beautiful setting. Charcuterie platters for two will be available for purchase for $30.00 or you are welcome to bring your own picnic.

Doors open at 6:00 p.m. with the show starting at 7:00 p.m. at 40 Knots Winery (2400 Anderton Road, Comox).
