Shotgun Kelly bring their tribute band to the second-to-last Simms Summer Concert of the year.

On Aug. 17 at 7:00 p.m., the second-to-last Simms Summer Concert will be held, featuring Shotgun Kelly. The local tribute band is sure to provide high-energy hits ranging from Adele to AC/DC.

Shotgun Kelly brings over 13 years of experience in the Comox Valley music scene and beyond. Their performances are known for bringing the community together. Vocalist Kelly Everill leads the charge with powerful, emotionally charged vocals, supported by Todd Mitchell on drums, Chris Thagard on lead guitar and vocals, and newest member Chris Hardmann on bass. The group's heart can be heard in every song they preform.

The music winds down just before sunset at around 8:30 p.m.. It is recommended that you bring a lawn chair or blanket and soak up the sounds in the riverside setting of Simms Millennium Park, located by the 5th Street Bridge and across from Lewis Park.

The Simms Summer Concerts season finale takes place the following Sunday, Aug. 24. The Doobie Brothers Experience will bring their tribute to the stage, and the evening will also include a food bank drive.
