An exciting exhibit of colourful, contemporary art will be featured at The Gallery @ Weird Church, opening Nov. 27, 2-5 p.m. Well known Comox Valley Artists Lucy Schappy and Patti DiDiomete are teaming up to brighten and lighten your spirits with their imaginative colours, forms, and expression.

Pianist Sarah Hagen is joined by violinist Simon MacDonald and clarinetist Keith MacLeod for a morning of French chamber music. The 75-minute concert takes place on Tuesday morning, Nov. 30 at 10:30 a.m. at Comox United Church. The program will include sonatas by Poulenc and Fauré and a boisterous trio by Milhaud.

A walk in the woods will never be the same after watching the film, The Hidden Life of Trees (83 min), being co-presented by World Community and the Comox Valley Land Trust at the Stan Hagen Theatre, North Island College, Courtenay on Friday, Nov. 19 at 7 p.m. The film is full of lovely images, macro close-ups and time-lapse photography.

Teresa Schapansky releases 12-book series on Canadian geography

Local authors Deb Griffiths and Christine Dickinson will provide stories and images from the Courtenay Museum’s 2020 book Step Into Wilderness – A Pictorial History of Outdoor Exploration In and Around the Comox Valley in a free online zoom presentation at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 23.
