Dear editor,

On June 5, my husband was painting the trim on our home, and he fell off the ladder. He was knocked unconscious, and when he came to, he made his way to the front door. When I saw him, I immediately called 911 and was sent an army of angels.

The Comox Fire Department crew was there within minutes, followed shortly thereafter by the ambulance crew. He was seen promptly in the Emergency Department and treated for his injuries by the amazing Dr. Edelson and her fantastic crew.

We would like to thank all those who attended to him for their exceptional kindness and care. The fire department crew made an extra effort to make sure everything was cleaned up and stored so we wouldn't have to come home and relive the catastrophe.

Due to the care and consideration shown, he will recover, but the outcome could have been much different.

From the bottom of our hearts, we want to thank everyone of you. We are so lucky to live in such a wonderful Valley.

Thank you.

Pete and Sandra Johnson
