Dear Editor,
I have just heard that there will be a new Starbucks in Comox at Anderton and Guthrie with a drive-thru.
Why has that been approved? Almost 10 years ago, Dairy Queen, a locally owned and operated franchise, applied to build a second DQ there with a drive-thru and was rejected by the Town of Comox because they did not want anymore businesses with drive-thrus.
So why now, and why Starbucks?
