Congratulations to the Town of Comox.
They have finally succeeded in destroying Mack Laing鈥檚 heritage through the machinations of former mayors and councils, and various high-end landowners in the Beaufort Avenue area.
By dint of obfuscation and legal chicanery, Mack Laing鈥檚 Trust was squandered and dissolved and his former residence was torn down. Now, Shakesides is to go, despite a sincere effort to save it by moving it. Comox was aware that a group wanted to move Shakesides to a new location, because I was made aware of it at least a year ago in this newspaper.
I used to live in Comox. I鈥檓 glad we moved out.
