Dear Editor,
I am always reminded when the Snowbirds come to the Comox Valley of the incredible amount of hard work, practice, dedication, concentration, many years of study, many years of training, personal sacrifice and expense it takes to become a member of the elite group of people who save or improve lives every day that they are on the job.
Who are these people? Surgeons.
Sadly, these amazing people never see public displays of affection or admiration. No one asks these wonderful people for an autograph or a 鈥渟elfie鈥� with them. You will most likely need these people's expertise in your life or the life of someone you care for or know.
Be sure to thank a surgeon, because they truly deserve admiration for their dedication and talent.
