The new photography book, titled Photography of Vancouver Island, Parks and Trails in the Central Region and West Coast, is an 82-page, soft cover book with images from 21 parks and trail locations. The author, Chuck Burdick, wrote a brief description of each park or trail to go with the pictures.

David Essig is something of a Renaissance man.

An open house display of Jeff Harbower鈥檚 contemporary figurative sculpture will be held Saturday, Feb. 4 from 1-4 p.m. at 8269 North Island Hwy in Black Creek.

The Pearl Ellis Gallery will host its first Members Show and Sale of the year from Jan. 31-Feb. 25.
