Comox Valley Arts is continuing with its programming series, PRACTICE: Inside the Creative Process, offering workshops and free artist talks to allow the community to explore and discover more of their own creativity. This program is supported by the Government of Canada’s New Horizons for Seniors program.

Bring your family for a very special candlelit ceremony in Cumberland on the darkest night of the year, Saturday, Dec. 21, to celebrate the winter solstice. This leisurely extravaganza, which runs from 4:30-9 p.m., is modelled after traditional pagan and Celtic winter festivities that deeply honour Nature and community in a way that feels truly magical.

The Comox Valley Art Gallery will host a solstice celebration this Friday, Dec. 20, from noon to 9 p.m. as part of its ROOT LOVE winter program.
