Variance request will go to advisory planning commission

Island Health has winterized the working and collection environments for staff and patients at COVID-19 collection sites throughout the region. Some sites have been moved to locations that can accommodate drive-through service 鈥� a safety and security strategy for care teams and patients.

The last two years have been a struggle for the Comox Valley Transition Society. A fire in January, 2019 destroyed the Too Good To Be Threw thrift store, which had been the main source of income for the organization that supports women, children and families. The CVTS opened a pair of smaller thrift stores in Courtenay, but business has been a struggle since the coronavirus hit.

Changes are coming to the Comox Valley Regional District planning and development services team.

The Comox Valley Regional District and Island Health have lifted the boil water notice for all users of the Comox Valley water system, effective immediately.
