Environment Canada forecast calls for sunshine through weekend

The Lewis Park stairs into the Courtenay River are set for an upgrade. Crews will begin mobilizing on site this week to replace the north and south stairs used for river access.

The City of Courtenay will be working on the water distribution system on the Old Island Highway at Puntledge Road next week, in front of the Lewis Centre. Construction is scheduled to begin Tuesday, Oct. 16, with completion expected by Friday, Oct. 19.

Painting will take place late in the evenings and overnight to minimize traffic impacts

Commuters are asked to please watch for crews repainting road lines throughout Courtenay starting Saturday, Oct. 13, and continuing over the next few nights.
