Comox Valley Volleyball Club Shines on National Stage

As the 2025 season winds down, the club is already looking ahead

The Comox Valley Volleyball Club (CVVC) has capped off its 2025 season with a series of remarkable performances, cementing its reputation as one of the premier volleyball programs in British Columbia and across Canada.

The club’s athletes made their mark at both the Provincial and National Championships this spring, bringing home an impressive collection of medals and championships across multiple age groups. With standout performances and strong team chemistry, CVVC teams proved that excellence is alive and thriving in the Valley.

Leading the charge were the 17U Girls, who delivered a dominant performance to claim gold at both the Provincial and National Championships. Their run was marked by grit, precision, and teamwork, culminating in a thrilling final match at Nationals that showcased their resilience and tactical prowess.

Not far behind were the 16U (white jersey) Girls, who also reached the pinnacle of success by capturing gold at the National Championships. Their success is a testament to the depth of talent within the CVVC program, as well as the dedication of both players and coaching staff throughout the season.

In the senior division, the 18U HP Wave Girls delivered a powerful campaign of their own, finishing with a hard-fought silver medal at Nationals. Competing against the country’s best, the Wave displayed veteran leadership and composure, making their way through the playoff bracket with confidence and cohesion.

The 15U Boys had a stellar season, clinching gold at Provincials before advancing to Nationals, where they earned a well-deserved silver medal. Their achievement is particularly impressive as the team continues to grow and develop within a highly competitive field.

Adding to the club’s provincial dominance, the 15U Girls (Blue) team brought home gold at Provincials, showcasing incredible determination and teamwork throughout the tournament. Their win was a proud moment for the club and another strong indicator of the rising talent in the Comox Valley.

Beyond the spotlight of podium finishes, all of CVVC’s teams from 13U to 18U — boys and girls — have experienced various successes throughout the season, whether through tournament achievements, personal development, or team growth. The club is immensely proud of every athlete’s accomplishments and the dedication they’ve shown to their sport.

“This season has been absolutely phenomenal,” said a CVVC spokesperson. “Our athletes have trained tirelessly, and to see their efforts pay off on both the provincial and national stages is incredibly rewarding for the entire club — players, coaches, and families alike.”

As the 2025 season winds down, the club is already looking ahead. Youth programs will be starting up again in the fall, and CVVC encourages any interested families to reach out for more information. Whether your child is new to the sport or looking to compete at a higher level, there’s a place for everyone at CVVC.

The club is also actively seeking volunteer coaches to join their passionate and supportive community. With the momentum from this record-breaking season, excitement is already building for what’s to come next year.
