Wrestler Jolina Healey is going to Brazil for the Pan American Wrestling Championships.

Jolina Healey will be representing Canada at the Pan American Wrestling Championships in Brazil later this month.

Healey earned her spot on the team after competing in the 2025 Cadet Championships in Edmonton.

"Now, I’ve been given the amazing opportunity to represent Canada at the Pan American Wrestling Championships in Rio de Janeiro, with the possibility of attending other national and international tournaments throughout the year," she wrote in a post on GoFundMe.

However, the trip, training and competition costs are all self-funded. Healey has started the GoFundMe to help her make the journey possible.

"That means flights, accommodations, and tournament fees, come out of pocket," the post says. "As a young athlete, I’m reaching out for your support to help make this journey possible."

Healy is trying to raise the funds to cover travel to Rio de Janeiro for the competition, accommodation and meals, competition fees and international accreditation, training and preparation costs, and travel to future national and international tournaments.

"This opportunity isn’t just about wrestling — it's about growing as an athlete, representing my community and my country, and inspiring other young girls in sport. I’m training hard, staying focused, and ready to give it my all," Healey said. "Whether you can give a little or a lot, every donation helps me get one step closer to the mat—and I’m so grateful for your support."
