The Comox Valley Minor Hockey Association (CVMHA) U13 All Stars (a.k.a. the Chargers) won gold in an All Star hockey tournament hosted in Powell River.

The Comox Valley Kickers women鈥檚 team hosted James Bay Athletic Association (JBAA) this past Saturday in the quarter-finals of the BCRU Division II League.

The Courtenay Fish and Game Protective Association is having its Spring Gun Show on May 1, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the main club building at Comox Lake.

For the past three months of the Vancouver Island Race Series, Run to Beer Comox Valley has been neck and neck with powerhouse club Harriers Prairie Inn of North Saanich, hanging onto second place by a thread for the first five races. On April 10, the dust settled with the final race in Sidney. Hyped as one of the fastest courses around due to its 鈥減ancake-flat鈥� profile, this race is finished in less than 20 minutes for many Comox Valley runners.

A fun, energetic and skillful gymnastics event was held at the Lewis Centre on March 12, 2022. The Gymnastics Championships highlighted the amazing skills these young athletes have been building throughout the year while attending various gymnastics programs through Courtenay Recreation.

The Comox Valley Shito-Ryu Karate club recently travelled to Nanaimo for the 3rd Vancouver Island Karate Championships. With over 165 competitor and 14 clubs participating, it was a very successful and exciting event and for most of the eight members from the Comox dojo it was their first time competing and being among clubs from all over the Island and Mainland. The tournament was organized by VIKS (Vancouver Island Karate Society).
